Our original shape. A single main compartment with a waxed cotton roll-top, padded laptop sleeve, and brass YKK zip side pocket. Goes anywhere, complains about nothing.
Panel-load · 18 L
A slimmer silhouette for city days. Full-width clamshell opening, fleece-lined laptop pocket, and a back pass-through for luggage handles. Organiser panel inside.
Top-load · 28 L
More room, more adventure. Traditional top-load with an external webbing system for strapping extra kit. Originally built for a moorland walking trip. Still going.

How it's made
Every pack starts as flat cloth on a cutting table in our Leeds workshop. We pattern-cut by hand, stitch on industrial machines, and finish the seams ourselves before the canvas goes through a hot wax treatment that makes it weather-resistant without a chemical coating.
We run batches of [X]–[Y] packs at a time. It keeps quality high, means we can improve each run, and avoids sitting on stock we don't believe in.

What goes into them
01
Waxed Canvas
[Weight]oz cotton canvas, hot-waxed in-house. Stiffens in the cold, softens with use. Develops a patina that's yours alone.

Leather Accents
Vegetable-tanned leather from [Supplier / UK tannery]. Pull tabs, handle wraps, and shoulder-strap anchors — all will age beautifully.

Brass Hardware
YKK zips and solid brass D-rings and buckles. No plastic where it'll wear out. Heavy, but honest.

Nylon Webbing
1.5" tubular nylon for shoulder straps and load-lifters. Foam padding stitched in-house and covered with the same canvas as the pack body.

Bar-tack Stitching
Every stress point is bar-tacked. We use bonded polyester thread rated to well beyond anything you'll put in a backpack.

Fleece Lining
The laptop sleeve is lined with a soft fleece. Nothing proprietary — if it wears, a cobbler can replace it.
Why small batches?
We don't keep packs in stock year-round. Each batch is made, listed, and gone. Sign up and we'll let you know when the next one is ready.

We announce each new batch by email first. Subscribers get 24 hours before we open to the public.

Choose your pack and colourway. Each batch may introduce a new canvas weight, colour, or detail we've been testing.
We make it
Your pack is cut and stitched after your order. No pre-made packs waiting in boxes. Allow 5–7 working days.
